For even more options, the is supplied with a spacer and alternative spring to allow the use of standard 'Parker-style' G2 refills. And in case that still isn't enough, they include a piece of tubing that can be cut to size to make some other refills fit too.

The part of the retracting mechanism that pushes the refill down is quite narrow, so while it works perfectly with refills that have flat ends, some hollow-ended refills don't work. 5888 refill works, and the refills fit well, but the 888, for example, doesn't work.

The barrel, cap and grip are all machined from solid aluminium whilst the pocket clip and fixings are stainless steel. The mechanism is machined from brass and then chrome-plated.
