Grenadilla, also known as African blackwood or mpinga, is a dense, lustrous wood often used to make musical instruments and fine furniture.

The fountain pen features a hand-made rhodium-plated 18-carat gold nib. Nibs are run in by hand at the workshop. The pen can be used with either international standard cartridges or with bottled ink using the supplied converter.
